In 2026, I’m setting myself a goal to explore one completely new album every week for 52 weeks. No sticking to the favorites, no nostalgia safety nets, something new, something different, something random.
This is my attempt to tap back into how music discovery used to feel, when you picked an album solely out of curiosity. The cover caught your eye. The liner notes of a previous record mentioned them. A friend swore it would change your life. It’s the same way we wandered around the mall CD Stores, or hung outside Underground Sounds during our formative years, not from the algorithm overlords.
Follow along each week as I share a few short thoughts on what stood out, what surprised me, and what didn’t connect (hopefully very little). One new album a week, all the way through.
